Poor-Boy's Carnival Ride!
As kids, we never went to any Carnivals. Mostly because of money issues and we lived way out in the country, partly because my parents never believed in fun. Seriously.
No jokes, humor, or adventures unless we cooked it up ourselves.
So we found a simple, yet fun way to spend our afternoons when we all got bored: Roll Down A Hill In A Barrel!
Doesn't sound too exciting but you should try it sometime. You get dizzy, some barf though I wouldn't recommend it because it slings all over the inside of the barrel. Unless you're going really cast then it sticks to the opposite side of the barrel till you stop. The incline of the hill is directly proportional to the stomach and it's ability to hold food down.
Once me and my sister crammed tightly into one and made it perfectly balanced. (No dirty thoughts now, we were just kids) and it went really fast and she screamed really loud all the way to the bottom. (Ouch...ears) I remember we hit something and found out it was one of our brothers that heard the screams and jumped in front to stop us.
We flattened him.
No one barfed but we laughed so hard it took us a while to disengage from the barrel. My brother had a bump on his head and wasn't laughing.
Hitting a tree is no fun but aside from that you should try it sometime before you grow up too much and think it's below your dignity!
As kids, we never went to any carnivals. partly because of money issues, but mostly because my dad did not like noise and crowds.
So we discovered how much fun rolling down hill in a barrel can be. Simple, and fun. Also the incline of the hill is directly proportional to the stomach and it's ability to hold food down.
The steeper it is, the faster you roll!
