R.I.P. Dan Weger

   A buddy of mine was killed 5 years back at my old work place. Lost track of the times that place almost killed me too.

Daniel K. Weger Sr., 31, of Terre Haute died on Jan. 19, 2011, from injuries incurred at his place of work, Terre Haute Truck Center, where he was a mechanic. Born on Sept. 1, 1979, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Kirk Weger and Glenda (Hinton) Weger Rowley.  His survivors include his parents and their spouses, Glenda and Charley Rowley of Marshall, Ill., and Kirk and Debi Weger of Terre Haute; his wife, Jane Ann (Thompson); his children, Daniel K. Weger Jr., Rebecca Thompson and Micha Weger; his paternal grandfather, Kelley E. Weger of Robinson, Ill.; two sisters, Kimberley Smith and her husband Brad, and Kelley Magill and her husband Shawn of Terre Haute;  his in-laws, Mark and Rebecca Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with Keith Moody officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Farmersburg West Lawn Cemetery. For those who choose, a trust fund has been established for his children at First Financial Bank.
